I heard a pop from the back seat and the next thing I know Thomas hands me his iPhone split open... I was just sure he had busted it. He swore up and down that it just popped open. After I google searched, it became apparent that this sort of thing can happen when the lithium battery gets old. It swells and pops the case. I apologized to TW for not believing him. Five years... Not bad I guess for a piece of electronic equipment that gets the kind of use an iPhone does.
